Excellent is the operative word. Beyond the magnificent setting, Avery & Shane were great. Friendly, informative, helpful, good cooks, and they worked their A’s off. Terrific trip! Anna and Will were awesome guides and did such an amazing job leading this group on a spectacular desert adventure. They were terrific at describing each day and what to expect and how to prepare. They were great at providing pro MTB tips. And they made amazing meals and made sure the group was comfortable the whole route. Would repeat this trip with them in a heartbeat.

It’s all about the details and Western Spirits had them dialed in. It was clear they are a well established guide company with experienced, thoughtful, and aware guides. Shane and Avery beautifully orchestrated the timing and execution for a five star adventure. The food was not budget hot dogs and usually campfire food. From salmon, couscous, fresh avocado, lasagna, and more. All consumables were high quality, organic, fresh, and skillfully prepared. I really cant say enough about how nice this trip was. Bag for the buck was spot on or even on the good deal side. You’re still out there camping, setting up your own tent, bag, etc. but you get to sit back and take in the day while the “heavy lifting, is well covered. We’ll be back!

Fantastic trip. Shane and Avery were awesome guides - we really enjoyed them both. The food was great. Western Spirit has put a lot of thought into its recipes. Too to bottom all the food was excellent. Shane and Avery took care of everything and made sure everyone in our group had a great time. Can’t say enough positive about our experience. Thank you! PS the bikes we rented were top notch!

this was an outstanding trip. We were blessed with great weather, outstanding guides (and amazing food) and an excellent mix of folks from all over the place that connected well on the White Rim. The biking was excellent and super fun, with just enough challenge thrown in. And I was blown away by the Canyonlands area. Staggeringly beautiful and 10,000x more grand and expansive than I realized or expected. All in all a world class adventure. thank you!

Trip: Custom Trip

How was our trip, you ask? Well, we knew from the get-go that things would go great. Mostly it was a question of how great. I mean, it’s always about the people, right? And in our case, we’ve been friends going on 45 years. So in the end, Western Spirit made things much greater than they had to be. For example, salmon and angel food cake on the first night! Stunning! And the bikes… superb! “Like cycling on a couch,” said one of us after descending the Flint Trail without incident. We were helped muchly in this respect by Shane and Luke emphasizing the Three L’s: Look ahead, Level pedals, and Lean back. The Western Spirit policies and procedures made us confident and comfortable. The “80% Rule” kept us safe; the consistent location of the coffee cups kept us from endlessly asking. For our skill levels, the “sporty” hikes and rides worked out beautifully: neither daunting nor trivial. We all benefited from the calm, just-in-time reassurances of the guides, who in one instance even offered up a strong back as a step. Let’s also remember the satisfaction of using everything we brought. (Kudos to the maker of the packing list!) And of course, the scenery wowed us again and again. For sure the flow-state we achieved in the saddle will keep our spiritometer readings high for many months to come.

Western Spirits provided exceptional and friendly service on my White Rim trip. Frank and Lucas provided exceptionally high-quality and friendly service. I particulary enjoyed the fact that they both (sincerely) marveled at the same things we did, beautiful rainbows, the sighting to big horn sheep, the blooming desert, etc.
