About Us
Started in 2014 by Tim and Michelle Borland and their three kids, the Bar SZ Ranch is a true family business with a mission to help others “forge their legacy.” Set on 2200-acres in its own valley with iconic California oak trees and golden hills; views of the surrounding mountains and Pinnacles National Park; and painted, sunlit skies, this working ranch offers a unique, destination experience with grit.

We absolutely loved our horseback adventure! Beautiful scenery and the horses were very well trained and behaved. Maleah and Michelle made the experience so fun and we felt very safe with them. Definitely the place to go to get away from the crazy city life and enjoy some country life and relaxation. Tim and Michelle and kids are extremely hospitable and run a top notch facility!

Magical moments each step of the day. Bar SZ Ranch is a mind, body, & spirit immersion into the beauty and wonder of our natural world. Horses, sheep, cows, bunnies, duck, roosters, chickens, cats, kittens, and Faith, the Great Pyrenees, and Turbo, the Corgi puppy greet each guest with delight and wonder. The Borland family embraces the core values of a good life; work, purpose, compassion, and fellowship. We gathered as individuals and left as friends, better people for the experience.
