Started in 2014 by Tim and Michelle Borland and their three kids, the Bar SZ Ranch is a true family business with a mission to help others “forge their legacy.” Set on 2200-acres in its own valley with iconic California oak trees and golden hills; views of the surrounding mountains and Pinnacles National Park; and painted, sunlit skies, this working ranch offers a unique, destination experience with grit.

My kids loved the animal experience. They got to hold bunnies and Guinea pigs. They fed the horses and pigs. Got to play with the amazing dogs (Faith and Turbo) and cuddled with newborn kittens. My girls kept sneaking back to the barn for more animal action.

Arena experience to remember. Our kids got to tack and saddle the horses before their arena ride making this a truly hands on experience. The horses were well taken care of and were so well behaved even in 100 degree weather. Arena ride was so fun, all of the kids had huge smiles on their faces at the end. Definitely want to come back for more. Michelle and the girls were so patient and kind, some of the girls even got to help after to give the horses a bath! If you love horses, you will love this experience. The kids are still talking about it today!

Amazing experience for the entire family. Appreciated Tim and Colton doing a thorough safety briefing to ensure everybody understood the rules. Had a blast learning how to use a BB gun and how to use a bow/arrow for archery. Such a fun of activity that everyone loved!

Our kids braved the warm weather & this was Mason's favorite part of our trip! He loved riding Nemo and trotting around the arena. Thanks for being flexible and moving our ride time later in the day to accommodate the unexpected heat wave during our trip. We loved being on your property and Mason is already asking when we get to come back again to visit all the animals on the farm.

The Arena Ride was my daughter’s favorite experience at Bar SZ Ranch! She had so much fun with her horse and wants to go back! The guides were fantastic and kept all the kids comfortable and safe while riding. Thank you Bar SZ Ranch!
