UT | Hike | Going the Distance, 5 Mile Hike

My hikes will be a 5 mile minimum, starting in one of the SLC’s tri-canyon areas and following an “out and back” format, or a massive loop, depending on which route I choose. All hikes will require a fairly high level of physical fitness and children or mobility limited persons are discouraged from attending. While hiking, I’ll share some of my knowledge about the natural history, botany, history and ecology of the area with participants. We will break for lunch at the apex of our route, and return to our start point afterwards.

Regular breaks will be implemented.

Typical outings will last from 6-8 hours, weekends only, schedule dependent.

Participants must bring their own water and foodstuffs.

We will not hike in inclement weather.

All participants will follow leave no trace principles.

Typical start times will be 9:00, we will meet at the pre-determined trail head. Expect to return before 5:00.
