I hadn't ridden a mountain bike in 25 years, but I felt in safe hands with Mark and Chris. I cannot adequately express how much I enjoyed their company- they are the sons I never had. I felt safe in their care- they did a fantastic job of checking in on how everyone was doing, guided great group discussions and took us on great hikes to see the expanse of what we were biking through. I liked how they had us regroup after a few miles so we would not get too stretched out, and I really liked how every morning they reviewed what we had done and what was to come. They were either behind us in the truck, or riding nearby- I had good space but never felt unattended if needed. I was so impressed seeing Mark power up the hill before the Murphy campsite- inspiring (how did he do that?). I spent time death-gripping the handlebars but then I would look up to see Chris glide by whooping and jumping over the rocks and I was reminded of the joy of biking and the ability to relax. Inspiring! They took extra effort daily to help us absorb the landscape- whether gazing from incredible lunch spots to our daily hikes to different parts of the canyon- it was so much more than just riding a bike. Which is exactly what I wanted. So, I had an incredible time and would not hesitate to do another trip with WS. It was all I hoped for and more. I am endlessly grateful that they were our guides. And of course the food was off the chart.

What a trip! Anna and Ben were amazing guides and made the trip all the more special. 10/10 foods, views and riding. We will definitely be back for future trips with Western Spirit.
