Seneca Rocks Climbing School is the oldest continuously operating climbing school in the Mid-Atlantic region. John Markwell opened the door of his Volkswagen Bus in 1971, creating what would become landmarks in the region, The Gendarme gear shop and Seneca Rocks Climbing School. Located at the base of the tallest technical summit east of Devils Tower, we offer instruction and guided climbing at all levels. Whether you are just getting your feet wet, improving your skillset, or training for specific objectives SRCS will help you meet your goals.
