Anticlimactic :-( Learning about the Earthships was cool but on the self-guided tour, you're only able to see 3-4 homes (from the outside). The rest of the community is blocked off. Kind of a waste of money...

Very interesting and informative. The ideas are great but after spending a couple nights at an earthship, not so sold on the idea of owning one. The atrium/greenhouse creates too much mustiness. I would guess if one kept the plants more trimmed, it might be less of a problem. If I were to go this way, I'd either build an airlock between the atrium and the living area or build the atrium totally separate from the house.

Very interesting tour through the visitor center. It would be nice to be able to walk through a model home, but I understand why that is difficult.

We are comforted knowing there are creative caring people working productively to build a better, sustainable world and to educate.
