We did the guided tour, and found it very interesting to learn about the building process and elements of an Earthship. We were disappointed to not have the chance to see an actual complete Earthship, though. Would have loved to see one that wasn't still a work in progress!

Fabulous tour and well worth the visit! Learned a ton about the earth ships and got me interested in checking out their training courses as well. Our guide (I believe her name was Solomon?) was very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Taos. The folks at the earthship are really challenging our accepted understanding of what housing is, and encouraging us to see what it could be - highly recommend this tour!

A very interesting and informative experience. Had a great guide and enjoyed exploring a part of Taos I had driven by for years but never stopped to see. Would recommend for anyone with an interest in architecture and/or sustainability!

I have been interested in Earthships ever since I first heard about them. When we planned our trip to New Mexico, one of the first reservations I made was the Earthship Biotecture guided tour. It did not disappoint! Our guide Will was very knowledgeable and informative. He was very down to earth (no pun intended) and realistic. Working in the environmental /sustainability field I find some people can be a bit woo woo and unrealistic. It was interesting to hear him talk about meeting people where they are. My coworkers and fellow volunteers try to do that when we're teaching about composting, recycling, and zero waste. I plan on incorporating what I learned into my talks on sustainability. While I may not be building an Earthship in the near future, I hope to integrate some of the design principles into my conventional suburban home. For now I am the envy of my friends and coworkers who are all interested in the Earthship Biotecture project.

The tour guide knew everything about the Earthships as he had built them and he lived in one! Very interesting concepts. He also mentioned what it was like to live there.
