Very cool full day experience out in the Gunks! Paul was professional and safe. I like all the anchor setups. And we cruised CCK and High exposure ( with great photos!) as someone who drove up from manhattan it is super easy. Will come again for more routes!

The AIARE 1 class with CORE was an awesome learning experience. The pace, data and maps, and hands on experience really made the learning fun and useful. The two days outside practicing and observing really drove everything home. Paul has a great way of establishing a positive, and trustworthy learning environment, and I highly recommend CORE Mountain Guides!

I took an AIARE 1 course with Paul and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I got a great blend of technical AIARE knowledge, managing risk, and interpreting forecasts along with the practicalities of travel in the backcountry, basic search and rescue, and how to read the snow. Paul clearly has lots of experience in the field and is able to clearly communicate and share what he's learned with others. I would definitely recommend this course to others!

IT WAS AWESOME. Paul and Nick are so knowledgeable and so much fun. They taught the course topics very effectively and gave me the tool set to be more confident and smart about my decision making in the backcountry. The course felt personal with both Paul and Nick learning my group’s names and getting to know each of us. They constantly tested our knowledge of the course work with questions during applicable scenarios which really helped cement those concepts in my head. I had such a blast and I know the rest of my group feels the same way!

I had an awesome trip with Core Mountain Guides and would go out in any adventure with them again. I took the AIARE 1 avalanche course with Paul. He was great!! Paul guided us through the course materials, then led us through our objectives for two safe and successful days in the backcountry. The learning was serious. The jokes were funny. I definitely recommend going out with Paul and Core Mountain Guides!!
