The Site and Services are not directed toward persons under eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly market to or collect any personal information from children under the age of eighteen (18). If you are under eighteen (18), you are not permitted to submit any personal information to us or on the Site.
If you are a parent or guardian, and believe that we have the personal information of your minor child in our database, please contact us immediately at hello@exploreorigin.com to request that we remove such information from our records.
What Personal Information Do We Collect?
Generally speaking, “personal information“ means any information about an individual from which that person may be identified. Personal Information includes obvious things, like your name, telephone number, email address and street address, as well as less obvious things like your IP address, device ID and location information. Personal information does not, however, include information from which the identity of an individual has been definitively removed (also known as anonymous or anonymized data).
In order to provide the Site and Services, we collect various types of information. We collect Personal Information directly from you when you provide it to us, such as when you create an account with us or otherwise communicate with us, verbally or in writing. We also may collect information indirectly through automated technologies, such as cookies, or from third parties.

You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying ‘STOP’ to cancel or by contacting Origin directly at hello@exploreorigin.com. Standard message and data rates will apply.
To book an Outing via our Site, we will collect additional information as required to complete the transaction and register you for the Outing. By default, we will prompt you for your:

We may in some cases have additional questions, on behalf of our Outing partners, in order to get more information in connection with the specific Outing that you have chosen, such as age of users over 18 and medical issues, that our partners may need to understand prior to the Outing. What we collect depends on the type of Outing and the Service Provider. In some cases you may be redirected to the Service Provider to provide more information, in which case any collection and use of your personal information is subject to the Service Provider’s privacy policies.
We also collect payment information through our third-party payment processor, Stripe, as explained in more detail here.
Public Forums
The Site enables you to participate in public forums and post reviews about your Outings. Such posts, when viewed by others, may be identified by your actual name and/or your username.
If you post to any existing or future public forums, remember that these public forums are open to other users, and, therefore, your postings can be seen by anyone. Please use your discretion when deciding whether and what to post and whom to contact and message, and understand that some of your personal information may be visible. Please do not post personal information about other individuals without their explicit consent.

Cookies and Related Technologies
What are Cookies, Pixels and Local Storage?
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies. We use “cookie” technology and similar online tools, such as web beacons and web pixels. “Cookies” are small files that a website stores on a user’s computer or device and through which personal information may be collected. The Site use cookies for various purposes, as described below.
We use “session” cookies, meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive after you close your browser at the end of your session. Session cookies are used to optimize performance of the Services and to limit the amount of redundant data that is downloaded during a single session. We also use “persistent” cookies, which remain on your computer or device unless deleted by you (or by your browser settings). We use persistent cookies for various purposes, such as statistical analysis of performance to ensure the ongoing quality of our services.
Pixels. Other technologies are also used on the Site. A pixel tag (also known as clear gifs, web beacons, or web bugs), which functions like a cookie, is a small amount of code on a web page or in an email notification. As many services do, we (or authorized third parties) use pixels to learn whether you’ve interacted with certain web or email content. This helps us measure and improve our services and personalize your experience.
Local Storage. Local storage is an industry-standard technology that allows a website or application to store information locally on your computer or mobile device. We use local storage to customize what we show you based on your past interactions with the Sites.
Information Collected
We and authorized third parties use these cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze certain kinds of technical information, including:
- IP address
- Device type
- Operating system version
- Application performance and de-bugging information
- Browser type and language
- Referring and exit pages, and URLs
- Number of clicks on a web page
- Amount of time spent on a web page
- Domain names
- Landing pages
- Pages viewed and the order of those pages
Purpose
Some of the cookies or similar technologies that we used are “essential” for the Site to function, while other cookies are used to help us improve our services, measure audiences or enable advertising, including:
- Functionality. For those who sign into the Site using their Origin Account password, this allows you to navigate and return to the Site without having to sign in each time.
- User Experience. We also use cookies to improve user experience, such as to save your preferences.
- Analytics. We use cookies and related technology to measure audiences and determine interest in our Services.
- Marketing And Advertising. We use cookies and related technologies to measure your interest in our Services so that we can market those services to you on other platforms.

- Purchases on the Site. When you purchase an Outing, we store the data in a cookie to remember the purchases that you have made.
Some cookies are first-party cookies – meaning our cookies – and others are third-party cookies, meaning that they are placed on the Site by authorized third parties.
Your Choices
Some web and mobile device browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can change your browser to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set. Other browsers automatically block certain tracking cookies. Most browser manufacturers provide comprehensive help relating to cookie management in their products. Please see your web browser provider’s settings for more information.
You can also learn more about cookies by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org, which includes additional useful information on cookies and how to block cookies using different types of browsers or mobile devices.
Please note, however, that by blocking or deleting all cookies used on the Site, you may not be able to take full advantage of the Site and you may not be able to properly log on to the Site.
Google Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics, an analytics service that drops cookies and/or similar technologies to collect and store information about your device and use of the Site. We use Google Analytics to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the Site analytics reports.
You can read Google’s privacy policy here. You can opt-out from being tracked by Google Analytics in a particular browser on a particular device by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for that browser which is available here.

The third-party social plugin may set a cookie when your browser creates a connection to the servers of such social networks and the plugin may transmit your personal information to the social networks. Your use of these social plugins is subject to the privacy policies of the third-party social networks.
Tailored Advertising
The Services may include third-party tailored ad technology, which enables customized and targeted ads to be displayed to you on third party websites, apps and services. This is enabled, if at all, via cookies and similar technologies, as explained above. When you use the Services, we or third parties operating ad technology (“Ad Partners”) use information that is collected through cookies and similar technologies to present you with ads and to analyze your use of the Services and other websites, apps and services tracked by Ad Partners. These technologies also may help control the number of times you see a given ad, deliver ads that relate to your interests, and measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns.
We and our Ad Partners endeavor in good faith to adhere to self-regulatory advertising principles, such as the DAA or NAI. If you are interested in learning more about and/or opting out of online behavioral advertising, sometimes called interest-based advertising, we encourage you to visit one of the advertising industry-developed opt-out pages:
If you do not want to receive tailored in-application ads that relate to your interests and are based on your mobile device’s identifier, you may opt-out by following the instructions provided by your device manufacturer.
Please note that even if you opt-out of tailored advertising, you may still receive ads, however those ads will not be tailored to your interests by participating companies.
Facebook Pixel
We use Facebook Pixels on our website, which tracks user behavior. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected via Facebook Pixel is anonymous to us, meaning that we do not see the personal information of individual users, however it is stored and processed by Facebook. Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and also use it for its own promotional purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Privacy Policy. You may opt out by clicking here. You may also opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative.
