We had a fantastic Black Peak four day backcountry trip and our guide, Andrew, was superb. He was very professional, good company and we learned a lot from him about avalanche risk assessment and many other things. Not a bad cook either! Highly recommended.

The whole trip was always on a knife edge with the weather and we were lucky to get the window that we did. Mind you, I thought you guys were 100% onto the weather and timing, so we definitely maximised the opportunity. You also did a great job keeping us in the loop leading up to the trip. we were lucky enough to have Tom and Woody guiding us on the Black Peak trip. total professionals, they massaged us through a very tricky 1st run on some tricky crust, then found us some very good powder on the SE slopes. the assistance and advice we received was awesome. A lot of discussion on snow conditions and avalanche risk continued all day. We were offered as much as we could take and were pretty wasted by the time we flew out Well looked after by all the guides at the debrief at B.Effect and a special shout out to Tom from B.effect for supplying nibbles beer and awesome burgers Considering the conditions on Sunday, basically a complete white out, I thought you provided us with as much as we could handle again! the information you gave us all day was hugely beneficial. Just a totally great opportunity to learn - just hope I can remember it all. The avalanche rescue exercise was extremely well run and i was impressed how you managed to convince us to keep digging that hole to find the bottom of the probe - gave everyone a real taste of the urgency needed to help pull off a rescue. While we were both shattered at the end of the 2 days we thoroughly enjoyed it - our backcountry travel will be a lot safer with the information you have given us and I'm confident that we can continue to go "out the Back' and return safely Thanks a million - really was fun. Really keen to get some photos of the trip if you can Cheers Ken
