This was a bucket list trip for me and at the upper end of my ability levels. I found it very beautiful but also tough. Tarsh was amazing. She was always there supporting and encouraging but I never felt any pressure. Tarsh really does have the patience of a saint! We couldn't have asked for a lovelier guide.

As a bunch of 4 60+ and 70+ trampers, the Gillespie Pass circuit lived up to its reputation as a challenging but thoroughly rewarding 4 day hike, made so much more enjoyable thanks to the care of our wonderful guide Tarsh. Great weather (despite threatened rain on the big day over the Pass), jaw-dropping scenery, Tarsh’s calm leadership as we tackled the more difficult parts of the track, topped off with plentiful delicious and nutritious meals and snacks, all contributed to a fantastic and memorable experience.

Brilliant in everyway. My whole experience with Aspiring Guides has been excellent from start to finish. My Mountain Guide Ryan Colley supported me every step of the way to achieve a life time goal of climbing Tititea, Mt Aspiring. An excellent five day expedition full of fun, food, safety and adventure. I appreciated Ryan's understanding and acknowledgment of Te Ao Maori in relation to the maunga as this was important to me. Overall the staff, especially Victoria and Alex, where excellent and always responsive, as I asked my many questions leading up to the epic event. I recommend Aspiring Guides as a safe and professional organisation for all alpine adventures.

We covered a broad range of technical skills and had the opportunity to learn and put into practise these in the field. Andrea was very thorough, patient and encouraging. Aspiring Guides was wonderful to work with on our climb of Mount Aspiring . Communication was always prompt and thorough. Questions were answered and details were supplied readily. everyone from the owners to the office team to the guides themselves were friendly and patient and well informed. They were professional and super easy to work with at every step along the way. The technical equipment that i borrowed was all top notch and served us well. We would definitely work with Aspiring Guides the next time we are in NZ for an adventure.
