In July 2023, we had a full day wade-walk with guide Kody in YNP. The group included me, my son, and my 10 year old grandson. Kody was excellent. Kody was very patient in teaching my 10-year-old grandson the basics of fly fishing, and helping him stay involved during the day. When fishing slowed in one location, Kody moved us to another location where the fishing was more productive.. Kody also gave us recommendations for other fishing locations in the park, which proved quite helpful. The staff at Parks Fly Shop is very knowledgable, and will take the time to answer your questions. We already have another trip scheduled with Parks Fly Shop.
