Leah Goldner
About me
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Leah grew up exploring the mountains on the East Coast on family backpacking and camping trips. In high school, she attended a wilderness summer camp in New Mexico for four years in a row, and spent weeks exploring the Southwest. There, she honed her backcountry living skills, and tried outdoor rock climbing for the first time. She also discovered a love for the desert, and knew she wanted to live out here one day. Leah moved out to Prescott in 2021 and has lived there ever since. She began attending Prescott College, and took climbing courses at the school, which gave her the opportunity to hone her technical skills and become familiar with Arizona climbing areas. After serving as a teaching assistant for a multi-pitch rock climbing course at Prescott College, she knew that she wanted to guide and teach rock climbing professionally. She has spent the last year developing her guiding and instructional skills on Arizona rock. She has also had leadership opportunities as an Adventure Education major at the college, leading backpacking trips for students around the state. Leah also works as an outdoor science educator and is passionate about sharing her love for Arizona natural history and ecology with others. When she is not climbing, she enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and exploring the desert landscape with friends. Leah is a Wilderness EMT, Leave No Trace Master educator, and is a certified American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Single-Pitch Instructor.Certifications

Hannah and Leah far exceeded expectations: the hiking and climbing were appropriately challenging in an exceptionally beautiful and accessible location. They set up the courses in advance and were happy to belay us all day as well as explain the history and science of the sport with incredible patience. The amazing women in this trip were kind, welcoming, and empowered and encouraged me to accomplish more than I ever imagined I could have. Can’t wait for the next trip! AJ

Leah and Hannah were great! On day one they everything set up before we got there so we were able to start climb right away after our briefing. They provided a safe environment to ask questions and to work on different areas for improvement. On day two, we were able to explore different types of boulders and had a great day. Overall, amazing weekend, can’t wait for the next one.
