About me
Hey I’m Dan!I love to explore the outdoors in different ways - first it was running, then climbing, disc golfing, biking, skiing, paddling, and I’m sure there will be more. Climbing really takes the cake as my favorite though. I’ve been at it for over 10 years now. I climb on my own regularly, but I also love to teach and share that experience with others.
I made countless trips to the New River Gorge when I was living elsewhere and decided to move here. Although the weekend warrior urgency has faded, the novelty and satisfaction from climbing here sure hasn’t. Outside of my passion for the outdoors, I like to do the polar opposite and be a homebody. I really enjoy baking, drawing, and in general being a couch potato after a day outdoors.

We had a really good time on this trip. Dan read our skill and kept us moving with a lot of engaging climbs. He was really complimentary and positive out there which felt nice since we dont get out often. I appreciated the time he took to show us how to clean routes and gave us a mock-lead opportunity. The overall Experience was amazing, loved all the take aways and Dan was great. He gave us a really amazing experience that we would come back for again.
