We had a really good time on this trip. Dan read our skill and kept us moving with a lot of engaging climbs. He was really complimentary and positive out there which felt nice since we dont get out often. I appreciated the time he took to show us how to clean routes and gave us a mock-lead opportunity. The overall Experience was amazing, loved all the take aways and Dan was great. He gave us a really amazing experience that we would come back for again.

We loved our experience with New River Guides! The communication and logistics was rock solid and very professional. The guide was fantastic and immensely adaptable to our family's needs and abilities. We climbed with 3.5 yo, 9yo, and 10 yo children who had varying abilities and fears. Our guide, Dan, was so perceptive to their needs. Highly recommend!

We had a blast climbing and rappelling with Dan. He found perfect routes for our skill level, we had fun, and learned a lot. Definitely recommend Dan and NRMG!

A perfect day. Dan chose the perfect climbs to warm up on, then we worked up the scale to some harder challenges. I think he did a great job gauging what I could do and to really follow my lead (not literally) in terms of what I was up for. He filled in a couple of important technical issues I wanted to go over with current safety protocols. Just fyi, twenty years ago climbing was a primary focus of my life, I traveled and did a lot of different types of climbing (probably some not so smart)…took a break and am returning to climbing as an older but still strong person with gym-climbing the only local option. Dan brought a lot of experience and knowledge and was great about helping me transition to "relearning" climbing on real rock, but smarter and safer this time. I hope to be back at the New again and get some more routes in with him before too long!! Don't hesitate to hire a guide to make your visit to the New a safe and challenging experience. Especially if this is a transition form plastic to real rock!!

Our family had excellent rock climbing adventures with Dan! Dan was a wonderful guide. He did an excellent job teaching us and focusing on our individual needs. He coached us through difficult spots offering timely tips and encouragement. We loved it so much that we booked a 2nd day!!

Dan was fantastic! We were all first-time climbers with varied ages (5 to 39) and varied fitness levels. Dan made sure that we were all comfortable and felt accomplished in our climbing. This was one of our favorite activities of our trip and we would definitely recommend Dan and New River Mountain Guides to anyone looking for a rock climbing experience. Thank you!!

We had such a great time climbing with Dan! This was our first time climbing outside and he made us feel totally comfortable and showed us some really fun routes.
