About me

I love the outdoors and many sports. Climbing is my passion and #1 sport, but I love to surf and cook when I'm not climbing. I also enjoy helping and supporting the community however I can through non-profit work.

Certifications

American Mountain Guides Association - Certified Single Pitch Instructor (SPI)

An SPI facilitates and instructs the sport of rock climbing in a single pitch setting.

CPR- First aid

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) delivers the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest or other emergency.

Wilderness First Aid Certified

Focuses on prevention, assessment, and treatment for an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care by a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available.

Leave No Trace Trainer

focus on developing a personal wilderness ethic and how to teach the principles of LNT to others.

Carlos brought brought my two kids, my wife and me climbing. We met at 9am, and climbed until 1pm. My two kids, both under 10 years old, had a great time. Carlos knows the area very well. He has all the equipment needed including climbing shoes for my kids and wife. There is a range of climbing difficulties available. The routes are well maintained, safe, in the shade, and nice views from the top. We will come back again!

This is the second time climbing with Carlos and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. He’s prepared, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. Especially when climbing by myself I am so grateful to find a guide that is both personable and funny. I trusted him implicitly, and would definitely climb with him again. My favorite area was Bayomon, but both Caliche and Bayomon had their charm.
