Matthew DeRubertis

About me

Matthew is a multi-passionate person that enjoys sharing with others the things he loves to do most - and rock climbing is way up there! 

After exploring and climbing in different locations across the US, Matthew realized his favorite place was where he first learned how to climb - the New River Gorge. 

 

In his life outside of guiding, Matthew is a touring bass player, composer, and yoga teacher. He is based out of his camper van and travels to create, explore new places, and build community.

 

Matthew has been teaching in different fields throughout his career and is super stoked to now show others the joy of climbing. He also LOVES food, cooking, and music from around the world!
