Craig Reger
About me
Craig Reger is a film photographer, climber, and coffee slinger from Eastern Pennsylvania. He moved to Fayetteville after graduating York College with a degree in Fine Art Photography in 2009.
Craig has over a decade of climbing experience, mainly on the bullet hard Nuttall Sandstone found in the New River Gorge. Route development, ice climbing, and gear climbing are Craig's passions within the climbing world. Now, you can add Single Pitch Instruction and sharing what the New has to offer with National Park visitors to that list.
When Craig is not climbing, he can be found either printing in his darkroom, mountain biking on local trail systems, trying to shred the concrete at the local skatepark, or crafting coffee drinks at Range Finder Coffee, which he started in 2019. Range Finder won't give you wings, but it will give you incredible strength and steel tendons! So snag an espresso drink and hit the crag for a vertical adventure with Craig!

Our family had a great time on this full day climb! Craig was incredibly knowledgeable, made us feel safe, and made sure we had the right level climbs. He also was very encouraging and great with our 10yo who was a bit timid at first. If you’re trying to decide whether to do a half-day or a full-day climb — which we were — do a full day! A half-day would’ve flown by! Can’t wait to come back and do this again!

Craig was awesome! He took me and my wife out and did some climbing, taught us how to set up a top belay, and how to clean an anchor. Great teacher with great jokes. We will be back with the whole family another time.

Craig was a fantastic guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and safety oriented. We appreciated how he asked us what we wanted to get out of our trip and planned out our destination and routes accordingly. On the wall, he was an encouraging coach and cheerleader, and even stayed a little later (past our scheduled end time) so we could get an extra climb in. 10/10 would go again.
