About me
Howdy! My name is Nina, I love rock climbing (obviously), ice climbing, spicy food/hot peppers, spending time with my siblings (I have 8 of them, yikes!), yoga, running and drinking tea.. lots of tea. I started guiding, coaching and instructing full time in 2018, in Maryland/Virginia and loved it ever since. I am now mostly based out of New Hampshire, where I spend my days trad climbing in the warmer months and ice climbing in the winter. My most memorable climb to date was when I did “Moby Grape” on Cannon Cliff for the first time- look it up if you’ve never seen it!
I’m so excited to be at the New River Gorge this season and to be a part of the NRMG team - let’s get out and climb!

We (two old heads, two kids) had a great day with our guide Nina. She guided us to and through climbs that spoke to everyone's skill set and also provided a refresh on anchor-settign so we coild head out on our own. She also teiple-checked that all anchors, knots, gear, etc. were safe.

We are gym climbers who have climbed outside a handful of times. Not being from the New River area, we had no clue where to go to climb within our ability, so we booked a full day of climbing with NRMG. And we had a fantastic time! The weather was ridiculously hot, but our guide, Nina, knew that we would be able to chase the shade all day at The Junkyard. By providing our climbing experience ahead of time, Nina was able plan routes that were within our ability, but still challenging to us. She also took the time to give us instruction on techniques and devices we were not familiar with. Would absolutely recommend booking a climbing trip with New River Mountain Guides as everyone we worked with were personable and accommodating.

Great day out with Nina! We had a great time in Bridge Buttress (Jaws & Chockstone were super fun) & Junkyard areas (Cave Route, photo was a great little chimney!). Nina was very knowledgable and happy to share tips & tactics. Also, Nina had a very 'go with the flow' mentality, she was great ensuring safety and a nice experience was had. Thanks Nina!!

I was a little apprehensive about how our climb would go. I'm almost 68 and was climbing with niece and nephews. ages 12, 10, and 8. But Nina have each of us just the right amount of encouragement, coaching, and support, to leave us feeling really great about ourselves and what we accomplished! We had SO MUCH FUN!

The trip to new river mountain guides climbing was amazing. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They had no problems working with your comfort level (myself never rock climbing before) and it is almost guaranteed that they will support and encourage you the entire way! All in all a fantastic group to climb with and a truly wonderful experience. The views were beautiful and the atmosphere the workers set up was a huge part in helping to make their group feel comfortable and safe. Would 100% recommend and go again!! (Tour guide was absolutely wonderful and honestly made the entire experience worth it especially as a first timer)

We had the BEST time and Nina was the sweetest guide ever! She made the whole experience so fun and enjoyable. My friend and I had an amazing time and the climbing was a great mix of achievable and challenging. It felt so rewarding to climb outdoors and we both loved the encouraging vibes from Nina.
