Wolf Porter
About me
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Wolf grew up romping around the Cascades. They enjoy the outdoors and sharing that experience with others. Whether that’s climbing at local crags, scrambling up mountains, or skiing down slopes, you’ll always find they with a face splitting smile and endless stoke.
Wolf's love for the outdoors grew as they worked closely with an outdoor program in college which encouraged leadership through outdoor education. After college their degree in International Studies and Education took them to teach English in Japan. Upon returning, Wolf was called to their outdoor roots and began their career taking folks climbing at Smith Rock.
Aiming to foster a positive experience outdoors, Wolf works closely with climbers to reach their goals through education and mentorship.

Epic course, with excellent instruction. All guides were knowledgeable, welcoming, and interactive. I took away a better understanding of snowpack, terrain, and weather assessment to help make choices for safe route finding for backcountry skiing. I appreciated the consistent message of potential human error leading to poor decision-making. I'd highly recommend MMA to anyone looking to increase their skillset while receiving a positive mountain experience.

Wolf was an amazing guide. My wife and I had previous climbing experience, but after some time off we wanted a technical refresher and to climb some nice routes in Montana. Wolf connected with us before the trip to see what we were looking for and to ensure we had all the logistics needed for the day. We spent 7.5 hours on the rock; climbing, learning, and enjoying the outdoors. Wolf is super knowledgeable and easy to chat with. He answered all our questions and showed us some climbing areas that were closer to where we were staying. We will climb with Wolf and MMA again!!

Our trip with Tom was wonderful! We got to do a ton of pitches in a relatively short amount of time, and throughout our climbing Tom provided helpful instruction. He was super friendly and encouraging, would definitely climb with him again.
