About me
I've lived in Boulder for 30+ years and have been involved with the local arts and music scene for most of it, as a DJ (radio and live), event producer, podcaster and more, and support art/artists however I can.
In Feb ’19, I bought a Radwagon eBike. It has changed my life. I average 3k miles per year, got rid of a car and became an unabashed evangelizer of the benefits these bikes bring: a true sense of freedom and a re/connection with my inner child and the environment around me. I ride year round with no thought to distance (other than what the battery allows) or conditions (as long as it's not icy).
I love Boulder, I love art, I love these bikes and I love sharing that love with others. Let's ride bikes!

We had an awesome time with JD cruising through the beautiful city of Boulder. We had a blast on the ebikes and loved seeing the amazing street art we undoubtedly would have missed if we had not been guided by JD. He was cool, laid-back and very informative. It is obvious that he is a lover of bikes, Boulder, and art (including the artist and story behind the pieces) Do this tour and experience the joy of that kid inside of you!

We had a wonderful time on the mural tour of Boulder and would highly recommend this experience to everyone! Whether you are visiting Boulder from out of town or you live here and want to get to know your city a little better, this tour is a fun and enlightening experience for everyone. The ebikes are so fun to ride and I was surprised by how much ground we covered with minimal effort. JD was knowledgeable, funny, welcoming, and he even brought snacks! It was a very fun afternoon.

The Wall To Wall Boulder eBike Mural Ride with JD's Joyrides is a MUST-DO activity for anyone visiting Boulder. The easy-to-ride ebikes are the perfect way to see the town and Joel makes the entire trip enjoyable, enlightening, and lots of fun. We live nearby and yet saw so many sides of Boulder that were new to us, we learned a lot about the wall art, and Joel added value by taking us to unique viewpoints and hidden gems to make for a grand tour. Who knew? (Now we do!)
