Mary Keegan
About me
Mary is super stoked for her first season guiding with NRMG! She started climbing in the New and has made the long pilgrimage back from the West coast just to pull on that sweet sweet Nuttal sandstone. She loves sharing inspiring climbs, jaw-dropping views, and cool conversations with her clients.
Before working with New River Mountain Guides, she was the lighting technician for an 80's themed music venue in Hollywood. There were a lot of sequins, jello shots, and Journey covers but not a whole lot of sunlight. Now she lives in a van in the woods and climbs rocks instead of ladders.
She likes making baby quilts and classic cocktails, sometimes at the same time. If you've got a good ghost story, Mary wants to hear it!

Our trip exceeded all our expectations!! We had Jeff on day 1 where we learned the crucial things needed for safe and successful outdoor climbs- including an intro to the Warriors way approach to climbing/lead climb/catch and fall. Day 2 we had Jordan who’s stoke meter is off the charts and we got to lead our first climb outdoors at the New. Only 2 days but jam packed with action, learning, climbs and awesome instructors. Couldn’t have been more thankful and psyched!!
