Jeff, a proud native of Ohio's flatlands, defies geography with over 20 years of climbing experience. Early in his climbing journey, he discovered a deep passion for sharing the sport with others—a calling that ultimately inspired him to make climbing his profession. Since joining New River Mountain Guides in 2011, Jeff has become the Operations Manager and Senior Instructor, guiding countless climbers in the stunning landscapes of West Virginia.

In 2015, Jeff joined the Warrior’s Way Training Team, a natural progression from his own transformative experience in a Warrior’s Way course back in 2010. For Jeff, the program has been a game-changer, deepening his connection to climbing and providing a pure source of motivation. He often says, “The Warrior’s Way is the best investment you can make in your climbing.”

A Little About His Journey

Before becoming a professional climbing instructor, Jeff earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked briefly in the field. He then spent over a decade working for his family’s plumbing and HVAC business. So, whether it’s understanding climbing physics, fixing a leaky faucet, or perfecting your anchor-building skills, Jeff has you covered!
