About me

Hi, I'm Alastair — a certified mountain bike coach and guide with experience riding and teaching across California, Squamish, Bolivia, Scotland, and New Zealand. I hold a Certificate in Mountain Bike Operations from Capilano University and an instructor certification with PMBIA. I've also worked with riders of all ages, including those with neurodivergence, through programs like the AIROW Project, helping people build skills, confidence, and a lasting love for the sport. As a former Wildland Firefighter, the Fireline taught me the true meaning of hard work, professionalism, and one simple ethos — better than yesterday. Those same values show up in every Aspire MTB session. I hold myself to a high standard and bring that same energy to every rider I work with. At the heart of everything I do is a simple why — helping people discover what they're truly capable of on the bike. Safety is always our priority. Confidence, growth, and reaching new heights on the trail are always the destination. I'm here to help you get there.
