Fiorella Falquero-Donoso
About me
Hello, my name is Fio! I was born and raised in Georgia, which is still my home base as I pursue my Master’s in Geosciences with a concentration in Geography at Georgia State University. I work for GSU’s Outdoor Recreation program, where I’ve guided multiple outdoor sports for over four years, but each summer I migrate to the New River Gorge to guide. I’m a sport climber at heart and a lover of southeastern sandstone. Back home, I also coach a youth recreational climbing team at my local bouldering gym. I absolutely love rock climbing, but I’m also psyched on running, rappelling, backpacking, traveling, and caving. When I’m not guiding or climbing, you’ll usually find me hiking local trails, chasing waterfalls, exploring community events and markets, or scrambling around the park in search of salamanders! My passion is helping new climbers experience the outdoors, build their confidence, and learn the skills needed to recreate responsibly. The New River Gorge is a playground with endless opportunities for adventure, and I’m stoked to share some of the best of what this park has to offer!Certifications
