About me

Eric Shaw is an International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) and American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) certified guide. While this speaks to his technical skills and dedication to his craft, he is acutely aware that being certified doesn't make someone fun to hang out with in the mountains for a day. Accordingly, he is much more interested in creating connections, teaching skills and fostering a love for the outdoors in others than simply getting to the top of the hardest route. His ability to inspire climbers, whether they're embarking on their first climb or their twentieth, speaks to his dedication to personal growth and empowerment. More than a guide, Eric is an exceptional teacher and mentor, known for his deep commitment to safety, skill development, and fostering a love for the outdoors. He started Mountain Craft Adventures inn 2023 to help climbers and skiers learn the complex nuances of mountain skills more thoroughly, effectively and with better he vibes. Eric currently lives in Longmont, CO.
