Spring Skiing Fundamentals and Snowpack Update

Location

Boulder, Colorado

Group Size

Max 30 people

Duration

2 hours

Come out to La Sportiva, Boulder at 7pm for a discussion of how to get the most out of spring skiing.

Many people say spring is safer, this is misleading.  It would be more accurate to say spring is more predictable, which can make it safer, as long as you get your predictions right.  While we tend to remove the persistant slab problem from the forcast in spring, we do add a number of other problems to the list.  As people step out into more dangrous terrain, making these smaller problems dangrous and they often catch people off guard.

During this program, we will discuss the common places people get themselves into trouble in the spring and how to avoid it, as well as strategies to take your corn farming to the next level.

We will also spend some time disscussing the snow season and what it means as we move into spring.

Anyone signed up for a field session this season can attend for free, there is a code available in your confirmation email. This program is also free for members of the Boulder Skimo Club.
