Join us for three nights and two days of climbing and yoga at the New River Gorge National Park. Yoga sessions will be led by Erin Larsen and rock climbing instruction by Elaina Arenz.
Erin is a Fayetteville local who has traveled far and wide to climb as well as learn yoga from the best instructors. She's a certified yoga teacher in multiple modalities and a Thai Yoga Bodyworker, amassing over 1000 hours in training. She has been climbing and practicing yoga since the early 2000s.
Elaina is an AMGA Rock Guide with 29 years of climbing experience to share with you. She's traveled the world in search of the perfect climb but keeps returning to the New River Gorge because of its scenic beauty and amazing climbing opportunities.
Erin and Elaina have been working together for over 10 years to provide you with the best experience. Yoga and climbing complement each other and will help improve your range of motion, flexibility, strength, balance, and mindfulness, on and off the rock. The New River Gorge National Park is the perfect setting to blend these two activities into one unforgettable experience.

New River Mountain Guides
Since 1994 we've been mentoring climbers to help them expand their knowledge and become self-sufficient climbers at the New River Gorge and beyond. We offer private guiding and customized instruction for beginner to advanced climbers, who want to expand their knowledge, learn new skills, and gain experience to help reach their climbing goals.
All of our guides and instructors are not only climbers to their core, they are fun to climb with, and are skilled teachers who can help you meet your climbing goals. They're all trained and certified by the American Mountain Guide Association as Single Pitch Instructors (at minimum) and are dedicated professionals who take their job seriously.
We're headquartered in Water Stone Outdoors, your one-stop climbing shop at the New. The shop is open year-round, and the guide service operates seasonally from March to November (or whenever winter sets in). Have a trip booked? Meet your guide on the outdoor patio located at the rear of the store off the back parking lot.

Cancellation Policy
TRIP CANCELLATIONS
- All trips require a $200 non-refundable deposit to secure your date and guide. The balance will be due the day before your trip starts and will be collected automatically with the card on file with your reservation.
- We are happy to work with you to reschedule your trip at any time. Click on the reschedule link in your confirmation email, or contact us if you need additional assistance.
- We highly recommend trip insurance to protect your deposit payment. Cancellation due to change of plans, weather, illness, or injury to yourself or other members of your group. Thanks for your understanding as we have turned away other clients so we could hold your reservation and run your trip.
TEEN ROCK CAMP & MULTI-DAY CANCELLATIONS
Teen Rock Camp enrollment requires a $875 non-refundable deposit. Again, we suggest purchasing a separate trip insurance policy to protect your financial investment in case life throws you a curveball. Campers who leave before the end of the summer camp program, including those who may be dismissed from an active program session will not be refunded any portion of the tuition payment.
Special limited-enrollment, multi-day courses like our open enrollment courses, AMGA SPI Programs, Warrior's Way, and Yoga Retreats are non-refundable and non-rescheduleable once students have paid their course deposits unless another person is willing to take their spot. This includes cancellations due to disrupted travel plans, injury, or illnesses, including COVID-19. We recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect your financial investment.
*If we cancel your course due to low enrollment, you may opt to transfer your enrollment to another session or receive a refund of your course/camp fees.

What you can expect from us:
ADDITIONAL COMPANY POLICIES
TRANSPORTATION
We do not provide transportation to/from climbing locations from our meeting location. You will follow your instructor in your vehicle (or make personal arrangements to be dropped off) at the parking area for the climbing location.
Average drive times range from 15 to 30 minutes on paved roads. Any passenger car can easily travel to the climbing areas in the New River Gorge area. You are free to depart from the climbing area at the end of your trip.
Transportation during Teen Rock Camp is provided through a third-party shuttle service that's licensed and insured to operate in the New River Gorge National Park.
DOGS
While we love dogs we don’t allow dogs on climbing trips and courses for many reasons.
- Our commercial liability insurance does not cover accidents, injuries, or property damage from our clients’ dogs.
- Many private climbers bring their dogs climbing with them. These dogs are often off-leash, and not controlled by their owners.
- We do our best to minimize the risks our staff must manage. Dogs add additional risks for them to manage.
We encourage clients to arrange for pet care. There are several quality local options for doggie daycare in the area including the Rover App and Barks & Boops Boarding.
Please see the NPS guide for in-depth info on visiting the New River Gorge National Park with your pet.
SPECTATORS
Typically we don't allow spectators to accompany climbing trips unless they are the parent or guardian of a minor. Our maximum guide-to-client ratio is 1 to 4 as permitted by the National Park Service. If the addition of spectators requires us to have an additional staff member present, a $100 fee can be charged if staffing is available.
If you wish to have spectators attend your booked climbing trip, please notify us in advance and we can determine if we can accommodate your request.
