ASA 101
This is a basic sailing standard designed course to teach a person new to sailing, how to safely sail and dock a sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters. Students are given the opportunity to take the helm of a boat designed with a beginning sailor in mind. Students will become familiar with required safety equipment, points of sail, rules of the road, docking and sailing terminology.

Course length:

Friday -- 6 to 8 p.m. (2 hours)
Saturday -- 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (9 hours)
Sunday -- 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (9 hours)
 

Course includes:
- The ASA 101Sailing Made Easy Text book
-  Sailing Okinawa’s Interactive Study Guide.
- Two-day use of a 26-foot day sailer.
- ASA Certification logbook.
- ASA 101, 100-question Lifetime Cerfication Test.
-- ASA processing fees.
