Coastal Cruising Certification – ASA 103
PRE-REQUISITE COURSE: ASA 101
Includes a 3-day weekend of lessons in the Kerama Islands, classroom instruction, sailing and knowledge evaluation, and testing on a 34-foot sailboat, a 176-page textbook, "Coastal Cruising Made Easy," All testing and processing fees for this lifetime certification course with the American Sailing Association.
Course includes:
- The ASA 103 “Coastal Cruising Made Easy” 176-page Text book
- Sailing Okinawa’s Interactive Study Guide.
- Three-day use of a 34-foot performance cruiser.
- Three-days of instruction and evaluation.
- Three nights aboard a 34-foot performance cruiser.
- ASA 103 Test
- ASA processing fees for this lifetime certification.
Course Schedule:
Friday night: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. class with overnight stay on boat.
Saturday: Launch at 6 a.m. travel to Zamami Island with overnight at Zamami. Snorkel at Ama Beach.
Sunday: 8 to 5 p.m. sailing practices with anchor practice and snorkeling at Arahen Bay off the southern tip of Tokushiki Island.
Monday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- Sailing back to Ginowan Marina.
