I have been on many charters and usually go every year. I wasn’t to happy that we beat the guide to the boat that morning and then he had to go get fuel. Left the doc at 7:30 which I understand he said someone used his boat. But tied was down and we went to 2 spots catching bait fish to try and catch a bull or a shark for the fun. When you go fishing I get you are not guaranteed anything. Fishing and hunting is all according to weather but it just didn’t feel like he was prepared for what to catch. Seems to me that a guide should have a really good idea of where and when to fish certain areas and what time according to tide. I own my own business and he worked hard to get us on some sheep head which we caught 6, but if I showed up to work and only had a certain amount of time to regain customers I would be up bright and early and had a game plan of what the day has in store. Just seemed like we winged it. Really nice guy but for $700 and 4 fisherman to catch 8 fish total and can only eat 5 other catfish I would expect so little more results. Maybe it was a bad day but for us it just didn’t seem professional. Staff was really polite though.
