Our group of six had a fantastic time with Henry and Bailey during our backcountry day in Yellowstone. Our guides judged our skill level well and found terrain suitable for multiple runs. Communication was excellent throughout the process. We were able to rent some avalanche gear directly from their company. Would highly recommend Henry and Bailey and hope to be able to ski with them again someday.

The entire process was very smooth- Montana Mountaineering were very quick in helping with our booking which was last minute since Hyalite were one of few places that still had snow. Lindsay was super detailed with our preparation and planning before the trip and we knew what to bring and where to get to. We spent the entire day with her from 7:30am-4pm and climbed constantly in Hyalite canyon. Lindsay taught us the basics really well and was an amazing guide - she corrected us along the way as we were beginning our first ice climbing. I personally felt like I progressed with every climb on the very same day! Going from WI3 all the way to attempting WI4+ because of her guidance and teaching. Would definitely recommend to my friends and everyone who would like a great beginner course and see quick progression in a single day of ice climbing!!

Excellent course. I feel a lot more comfortable in the mountains. Bailey and Matt are great instructors, keeping the material fresh and using the terrain and conditions to bring the lessons to life. Especially appreciate the hands-on aspects. There's a world of difference between reading about something and actually doing it.
