WA | Hike | Hidden Columbia Gorge Gem

This a true hidden gem in the Columbia River Gorge that few locals even know about. This is "lollipop loop" with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain over 8.8 miles. Highlights include views of Mount Hood, Mount Adams, meadow filled wildflowers and sweeping views of the Gorge. This hike lies near one of the most popular hikes in the area but if you want solitude and springtime wildflowers this is the place to go. In fact this hike is so under the radar, some sections of trail are undeveloped, but not to worry, its mostly on soft dirt while most of the established trail is on old, well graded logging roads. This is a fairly difficult hike with short, steep sections. Your party will need to be in fairly decent shape but a determined group can make the summit at a slower pace
