This three-mile moderately trafficked loop will give you beautiful views of Boulder's Flatirons while traversing through meadows and forests. We may see wildlife on this loop, and will definitely see wildflowers if we go in the spring and early summer. It is an easy/intermediate loop with a couple of uphill sections but nothing too intense.

About Me: I've been exploring the trails in and around Boulder (and beyond) for the past 20 years! I'd love to show you around and keep you on the right path. If you're new to the area, or new to hiking/backpacking/camping, feel free to ask me whatever you're curious about. I was a local realtor for 7 years before retiring to spend more time with my kids and doing things I love. Leading hikes in the amazing Foothills with folks interested in the outdoors is one way for me to share what I enjoy with others.
Required Gear: hiking shoes (I usually use trail runners), layers (you never know what the Colorado weather will bring, always be prepared for both cold and hot weather!), enough water (I always bring two water bottles for myself, just in case), snacks or lunch
Nice-To-Have Gear: hiking poles, microspikes or yaktrax or really grippy shoes if going in the winter/spring when there is ice/snow, camera/phone
