Explore the original icon of Bends beauty; Mirror Pond. Get to see the historic homes, beaver damns, parks and whitewater park. Your locally born-and-raised guide will provide the type and volume of information that'll be announced while you relax on the Deschutes River in Downtown Bend, Oregon. You can request a quiet, sunset cruise to enjoy the amazing colors, or become aware of hundreds of details that range from the history of Drake Park, Mirror Pond, downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, all the way up to contemporary issues dealing with the challenges Bend's growth currently presents. You should bring your own music, beverages, ice, snacks, and appropriate clothing (sweater, coat, shoes, glasses, hat, etc). You'll be provided with all the necessary safety gear(PFDs, throw cusions, whistle), sunblock, bugspray, cusions, a blanket, a cooler, an anchor, and paddles (if you wish to assist/take over for your guide by accepting a supervised physical experience). The tour will begin near the Bend Whitewater park and conclude at adjacent to the Newport Ave Bridge before the Pacific Power Hydro electric damn. Requests available for a making purchases at a convenience store located one block from the Galveston Street Bridge. The stop must be predetermined, not take longer than 15 minutes with an additional charge. The length of time the tour takes is approximately 1.25 hours. The tour is available for parties no larger than (3) adults/teens(Generally, (1)Adult = (2) Children under the age of 12. The maximum number of children, without any adults, is (5) plus the guide. The final determination will decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the weight of the individual children; roughly 500-600lbs)
