This mini-clinic is a refresher or refinement of body position for riding downhill. This is THE MOST COMMON error we correct when people show up for private lessons (Everyone from beginners to advanced). Having a good, efficient, centered body position when standing is critical for feeling confident, tackling difficult terrain, and feeling stable and predictable. Hint: You are probably bending your knees too much! 

Topics Included:

  • Awareness and refinement of a proper tall "neutral" position - the default position we want to return to as much as possible when stanidng up going down hill. 

  • The movement pattern from full tall "neutral" to low and ready. The order of joint bending matters! 

  • After we cover HOW to get lower, we can work on WHEN to get lower and HOW MUCH do we need to get low for different situations (hint: we can be taller more often than you probably realize).
