OVERVIEW
This is a half day, 4 hour guided bouldering trip at Seven Hollows. Start your trip inside Mather Lodge at our outpost, just inside the breezeway. After getting geared up and confirming all waivers are completed, we will drive separately over to the Seven Hollows Trailhead where we will hike into the climbing zones together.
WHO is this trip for?
Bouldering is best suited for those who already have some climbing experience and understand basic movement, falling awareness, and personal risk management. Because bouldering involves climbing without ropes and every fall results in ground impact—managed only by pads and spotting—it carries higher consequences for beginners than roped climbing. Those who are comfortable with their foundational climbing skills and want to refine technique, body position, and problem-solving in a more physical, dynamic format will find bouldering with Frontier a rewarding next step in their outdoor climbing progression.
WHAT does this trip include?
A guided bouldering trip starts with a short approach to the climbing zones, followed by an introduction to movement fundamentals, pad placement, spotting, and how to assess landings. Your guide will choose problems that fit your experience level and goals, helping you warm up and progress through a variety of climbs with supportive, skill-focused coaching. You’ll spend the day trying different styles of boulders, practicing technique, taking rest breaks, and learning how to make thoughtful decisions that support a positive and enjoyable outdoor experience.
WHEN can I schedule a trip?
You can schedule this trip from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm - 4:30pm. See booking calender. Walk-in appointments are based on availability.
WHERE does this trip take place?
This trip starts at our Outpost inside Mather Lodge and ends at the Seven Hollows Trailhead. There are two climbing zones where climbing is allowed at the park. We will recommend which zone to go to based on skill level and goals for the day.
NOTE: Before you can start your trip we need to meet you at our Outpost inside Mather Lodge (just inside the breezeway) to sign the park waiver, get wristbands, and get fitted for all your climbing equipment.
