OVERVIEW
This is a half day, 4 hour guided rappelling trip at Seven Hollows. Start your trip inside Mather Lodge at our outpost, just inside the breezeway. After getting geared up and confirming all waivers are completed, we will drive over separately to the Seven Hollows Trailhead where we will hike into the climbing zones together.
WHO is this trip for?
This trip is designed for adventure seekers who want to experience the vertical terrain in a controlled and comfortable way. Rappelling as you would guess is not as physically demanding as rock climbing can be, so anyone and everyone is welcome to try their hand at abseiling down a cliff. It’s well-suited for people who want to learn foundational rope-handling skills, understand basic systems of risk management, and build confidence in exposed environments.
WHAT does this trip include?
This guided rappelling trip includes a short hike into a scenic hollow, personalized instruction on equipment use, anchor fundamentals, and systems of risk management, plus multiple rappelling experiences on cliffs of varying heights. Guests can expect hands-on coaching in movement, communication, and edge transitions, along with time to build confidence through progressively more engaging rappels. The trip is designed to deliver a supportive, educational, and memorable outdoor experience.
WHEN can I schedule a trip?
You can schedule this trip from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm - 4:30pm. See booking calender. Walk-in appointments are based on availability.
WHERE does this trip take place?
This trip starts at our Outpost inside Mather Lodge and ends at the Seven Hollows Trailhead. There are two climbing zones where climbing is allowed at the park. For rappelling we will go to V10 Hollow.
NOTE: Before you can start your trip we need to meet you at our Outpost inside Mather Lodge (just inside the breezeway) to sign the park waiver, get wristbands, and get fitted for all your climbing equipment.
