Our Professional Mountain Biking Skills Instructors & Coaches are certified by the Bike Instructor Certification Program (BICP).  Whether you're an expert racer or first timer, working with one of our Instructors will be your next step in setting yourself up for SUCCESS.

These short focused MTB skills sessions are a GREAT option for anyone looking to improve their performance on their own bike [MTB rental add-ons available].  Our Instructors have helped Moab Locals, NICA Athletes and Coaches, as well as travelers coming to Moab from nearly every continant [still waiting for our first Emperor Penguin to sign up].

You can expect your Instructor to assess your current skill-set, teach you how to adapt it to our terrain, refine your fundamentals, and help improve your confidence on the bike!  We have the tools and experience that will enhance your skills emphasizing safety and resource protection.

All Private MTB Skills Instruction sessions are lead by our small dedicated staff; Mike Holme, Maggie Wilson, and Eric Boxrud. Rates include your Private Certified MTB Guide / Instructor, and transportation (if necessary) to the skill instruction venue from our HQ in Moab.

Sessions during spring & autumn (March, April, May, Sept, Oct, Nov) typically meet at or before 9am - though we can accommodate special start time requests.  Your Instructor will be prepared for up to 3 hours of MTB Skills Instruction time followed by a short on-trail practice session depending on your fitness and interests.  These Private MTB Skills Instruction sessions are suitable for all levels of experience.

During the summer months (June, July, Aug) we usually meet at or before 7am - again, we can accommodate special start time requests inline with the intention of being finished long before the heat of the day!  The logistics for the summer MTB Skills sessions require advance reservations.

Of course, during the winter months (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb) we start later in the morning with the intent of being out during the warmest time of the day.  Winter sessions are usually start after 10:30am - remember, we can accommodate special start time requests.  Anytime the temps are above 39F we'll happily go work on our mountain bike skills.  Even when it's cold in Moab it's almost always sunny!  All you'll need is the appropriate gear & clothing (bring it all) to enjoy learning in cool weather.
