Sober Outdoors: Manitou Incline Challenge

Join us for a sober hike up one of Colorado’s most iconic and challenging outdoor adventures: the Manitou Incline! This event has been highly requested, and we’re excited to finally host it.
This is a steep, intense, but incredibly rewarding hike—climbing 2,768 steps over just under a mile with 2,000 feet of elevation gain! Expect breathtaking views, an epic sense of accomplishment, and a strong sober community by your side.
Registration & Details
- Registration is REQUIRED – we’ll be using a timed entry system and hiking together.
- Parking is $15 per car (paid at the lot) – scholarships available if needed.
- Carpooling is encouraged and available through our registration form.
- Look for the white Sober Outdoors flag near the trailhead to check in.
- Please arrive by 10:00 AM SHARP – we hit the stairs on time.
- Guests are welcome and encouraged! Bring a friend, partner, or anyone who could use a good climb and great vibes.
What to Bring

PLENTY of water – this hike is no joke

Carb-heavy snacks – energy is key

Sunscreen – very little shade on the Incline

Weather-appropriate clothing – layers recommended

Good hiking shoes – grip and support matter

Check the weather before you come – and dress accordingly

Leashed dogs are welcome – but please double-check with the City of Manitou Springs for current rules
Rain or Shine (Mostly)
We’ll hike even if the weather isn’t perfect. Only truly adverse weather (lightning, heavy snow, etc.) will cause a cancellation. Watch your email and our socials for any last-minute updates.
