Terma Multipitch Climb

Duration

5 hours

A fantastic entry level multipitch!

Want to dip your toes into multipitch climbing? Or perhaps you want to experience climbing at height but aren't much of a crack climber? Terma is a fun, mostly bolted three-pitch route near Moab that offers stunning views of the Colorado River corridor, and reaches the rim for a comfortable summit. Rated 5.8+ on Mountain Project. The climb is primarily face climbing with a few crack climbing moves towards the top.

What to expect: Terma is about a twenty-five minute drive from Moab. With a steeper, thirty to forty minute hike for the approach, the climb itself is quite friendly at the grade and low angle. You'll start by face climbing, following your guide up and removing any gear they left for protection. The first pitch ends at a spacious belay ledge. The next two pitches are also fun, featuring more face climbing, a short crack climbing section, and a beautiful finish on the rim overlooking the Colorado River.

This climbing excursion is customized to be as instructive as you like. We can discuss hanging belays, belaying from above, and multipitch rappelling.

Duration: This is a typically a half day to three-quarter day, so 4-5 hours town to town. Time depends on groups size and pace.
