Craving an alpine adventure? Bighorn Mountain Guides is permitted to take a limited number of trips per season into the Sawtooth Lakes area. This includes backpacking trips, mountaineering trips and adventure climbing trips.
The Sawtooth Lakes Area grants access to some of the Bighorns's tallest peaks, including Blacktooth, the second tallest in the range, which can be seen from Sheridan, plus Penrose which grants excellent views into Sawtooth Canyon, and Buffalo Back, with its spectacular granite climbs.
A trip into the Sawtooth Lakes Area is usually a three- to four-day venture, and one most people aren't soon to forget.
