The Main Range holds some of the best backcountry terrain in Australia. The Main Range Explorer is how you get into it properly.

This is K7's most adaptable full-day tour. Your guide reads the conditions and shapes the day around your group: which zones to target, which lines to ski, how hard to push. No two days on the Main Range look exactly the same.

The tour builds on backcountry fundamentals with more advanced technique: tighter transitions, efficient skinning, route selection, and understanding how aspect and angle affect both snow quality and safety. It's a full day in genuinely good terrain, guided by locals who know it well.

The tour runs from Thredbo or Guthega. Let us know your preference at booking and your guide will be in touch before the day.

Advanced skiing or boarding ability is required. You need to be comfortable on variable, ungroomed snow. Some prior backcountry experience is recommended, though not essential for the right rider.
