Join Enchanted Mountain Guides in a 4-day expedition to ski the highest volcano in North America. During our 4-day expedition our professional mountain guides will cover the following curriculum:
- High Altitude Mountaineering Prep/Training Plan
- Crampon & Ice Axe for Glaciers
- High Altitude Skiing

Sample Iterinary
Day 1: Arrive to CDMX Airport Benito Juarez - there you will meet your guides and your transportation for the rest of the expedition. We will travel that same day directly to Amecameca, Edo. De Mexico. Night will be spent at the beauitful Hacienda San Andres. We will cover risk management and mountain logistics with all participants and team.
Day 2: Acclimatization at Iztaccihuatl our first day together in the mountains will be spent in acclamitazing in the beautiful and majestic volcano of Iztaccihuatl. Our goal is to spend as much time possible hiking lightly at higher altitudes while taking in the view of the amazing active volcano of Popocatepetl. That night, through our lodging, there will be traditinal temazcal and pre-hispanic local grown food avalaible for the team.
Day 3: Travel Day to Pico De Orizaba (Citlaltepetl) We will travel to the small town of Tlachichuca, Puebla where we will meet our 4x4 drivers to take us to basecamp. In basecamp we will spend time on safety measures and risk management, with another light acclimatization hike. We will eat dinner and go to sleep early. Summit day will start between 11PM -12AM that night.
Day 4: Summit and Ski Day of Orizaba (Citlaltepetl) if weather permits, we will summit Pico De Orizaba (18,600ft) and ski down the glacier of Jamalpa. We will then get back to Tlachichuca, Puebla in the 4x4 and meet our drivers again in town. We will then drive straight back to CDMX where we will have a celebratory dinner.
Day 5: Possible Weather Day we want to get the group up for success. Therefore, we have planned an extra day incase of weather or if team needs an extra day of rest. If weather and logistics is not an issue this day will be an extra day in CDMX with amazing food tours.
Day 6: CDMX Urban Tour The group will have the opportunity to visit the amazing sites of CDMX ( Zocalo, Templo Mayor, Tlatelolco, Bellas Artes, etc.) while also having the option of visiting the great pyramids of Teotihuacan and/or the ancestral canals of Xochimilco.
Day 7: Travel Day back to the US our driver will drive the team back to the airport to get back to the US or your next destination
