Join Enchancted Mountain Guides on a one full-day course on the fundamentals on performing effecient avalanche rescue drills. By the end of the course, participants will be able to perform a full companion rescue from an avalanche. 

Our Avalance Rescue Course is perfect for recreational backcountry skiers, snowboarders and snowshoers planning to travel on avalanche terrain. 

Eligibility:

- Participants must be 18+ 

- Genuine interest in recreational use of backountry as a skier, snowboarder and/or snowshoer

Curriculum: 

- Overview of avalanche rescue gear (beacon, probe and shovel)

- Companion Rescue Card & Checklist 

- Signal Search for Single to Multiple Buriels

- Efficient Probing & Shoveling 

- Emergency protocols 

- Next steps to further avalanche education
