Baja conjures images of rocky Pacific coastlines, long period waves and surges over kelp topped rocky stacks. It is perfect for exploring with an ocean playboat from a clifftop paddlers’ inn with a boat launch and walking distance from the best tequila you’ve never heard of. Learn to paddle pour overs, surf waves, shoot through slot canyons, slide into caves and paddle your butt off, eat tacos, sip tequila, suck limes, tell tales…repeat daily.
Lodging is a simple oceanfront paddlers’ dorm with male/female spaces, a pair of doubles for couples and plenty of space for camping if you prefer. Yes, there are hot showers and bathrooms as well as a kitchen where we’ll put together some nice meals leaving a couple of nights to try out local restaurants.
*How: Fly into San Diego, CA, overnight on your own, Van pick up on the 18th, drive to site, paddle pour overs, surf waves, shoot through slot canyons, slide into caves and your butt off, eat tacos, sip tequila, suck limes, tell tales…repeat daily. Van transport back to SD on the 24th. Overnight on your own. Fly home on the 25th.
*What’s included?: Van transport, Dorm lodging (there are two doubles for couples) or camping, hot showers, all meals (except for two restaurant dinners), ocean playboats (Delphin, Virgo, etc), Coaches: Michael and Lisa, Jen Kleck and likely Victor Leon as well at times.
*Not included: Alcohol (there is an honor bar), restaurant meals, guide gratuities (all go to local guides…Jen and Victor).
*Who? Those with L-3 ish skills and up. Not critical…lots of safety back up here. Great Learning environment.
