Introduction to trip planning and avalanche forecasts to advance the safety of your group when travelling through the terrain. Develop alternate travel strategies in backcountry avalanche terrain that aligns with the forecasted hazard(s) and the groups ability. Learn when, where and why to apply a mandatory buddy system  and understand the benefits of varying methods. Practice with professional coaches on your carving technique and holding edges for uphill, downhill and sidehill travel. Step into the trees and advance your ability to navigate on forested terrain with a group and the essentials of radio communication
