Atomic Run - July 22nd

Location

Atomic City, Idaho

Group Size

Max 8 people

Duration

10 hours

This trail is a challenging (some would say endurance) ride from Atomic City Trails Club to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes.  The round trip is about 150 miles.  The first half of this ride is the most challenging with the lava rock terrain.  You will have some amazing views of the buttes as you ride desert trails in between Hells Half Acre and the Idaho National Laboratory.  There are a variety of wildlife including pronghorn (antelope), jack and white tail rabbits, a wide variety of birds of prey, mule deer, and elk.  Early morning rides are best for wildlife viewing.  You may want to bring along a spotting scope and take a few short hikes off the trail to a hilltop to discover what is hidden from the trails.

SxS Adventures will trailer the machine out to Atomic City where you will meet up with the Atomic City Trail Club for the ride that day.  Machine rental includes your day use membership fees for the Atomic City Trails Club.  The membership application fee is waived for event.
