Mt. Elinor is a local favorite. From the upper trailhead, it is a 3-mile climb to the summit. The 1.5-miles is a staircase with intermittent switchbacks through an old-growth forest. The last 1.5-miles climb through a meadow. On foggy days, you can see marmots sticking their heads out of their holes.

On a clear day, the summit offers views of Mt. Olympus, Mt. Ranier, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams.
