This package is brought to you by Cozcu Cozumel Scuba Diving and Cozumel Coral Reef Restoration. In an effort to do our part in taking care of our slice of paradise, we want our divers to have the opportunity to further their knowledge of the underwater world by getting Coral Reef Conservation certified. We believe one of the most important ways to help out oceans is through education and we want to offer you the change to get up close and personal with corals in the wild and in farms.
This course is taught by Dr. German Mendez and other biologists who have helped in restoring coral reefs. It is a non profit organization and every donation made will be used 100% in the restoration of Cozumel’s reef.
4 day Program
It’s a four day program that will give you the tools to understand the workings of corals. The first two days you will be working tin the coral farms and the other two days you will go out to the reefs in Cozumel and will be able to apply your knowledge. Maybe even survey corals in the while and bring back information useful to Dr. German Mendez.
3 Day Program
The first day you will spend in the coral farms learning what corals are and how they work, how to clean them and identify them. The next two days you will do two dive boats a day surveying the corals of the Cozumel reef.
